Concept & Technology Studies

Concept studies

A concept study is the phase of project planning that includes producing ideas and considering the pros and cons of implementing those ideas. This stage of a project is done to minimise the likelihood of error, manage costs, assess risks, and evaluate the potential success of the intended project.

In general a concept study contains the following

  • Analysis of the current information and development of objectives
  • Development of variations and determination of the automation level
  • Establishment of budget levels for investment, staffing and operating costs

Technology studies

Technology studies evaluate the best choice of technologies to be used with the focus on cost, time, size or environmental requirements of a system.

Often a Study starts with a workshop intended to combine the customer’s knowledge of an application with the first ideas of Art of Technology.

The goal of the workshop is to bring all partners to a same level of understanding of the application and to define the goal application.
