Firmware Embedded Systems


Art of Technology has many years experience in the design and implementation of firmware for embedded systems.

 

In contrast to PC-based systems, embedded systems have very limited resources. Often based on small controllers or processor-based single-chip systems they have limited computing power and a minimal memory. As such, it cannot be expected that such software can be easily developed on a PC and then also work on these small systems.

 

Another special requirement is the support of low power modes such as sleep or power down which are used to optimise energy efficiency in these more often than not battery-powered devices.

 

Art of Technology can tailor solutions to reflect the abilities and needs of your system. The UML design method in combination with code reviews, unit and integration tests in accordance with the V-model of development allows for efficient software development on a qualitatively high level.

 

The QA measures can also be optimised depending on the required quality level to specific individual needs. This is a Version control with Subversion, or a customer's system to keep track of different versions on the highest level, eg providing for Medical applications.

 

Art of Technology can draw on a rich collection of tried and tested basic routines / functions and modules.
