Sensor Development


Art of Technology has extensive experience in the exploration and development of industrial sensors. In collaboration with our customers, who often bring their own expert application knowledge, Art of Technology has developed specialised sensors to detect or measure

  • Trace gases
  • Moisture
  • Pressure (for medical implants)

 

Together with our customers, Art of Technology has researched and developed biomedical sensors and measurement methods for physiological parameters (pulse, blood pressure) and other related areas.

 

Furthermore, with the medical know-how of the customers new sensor techniques (e.g. for non-invasive glucose measurements) have been investigated and developed. Extensive testing (including clinical trials), followed by refinements and adjustments of the methods led to qualification and certification which represents the successful conclusion of such a research project.

There are also projects where a complete new development is not required and an adaptation of existing sensors suffices.

 

Typical applications for such adaptions are:

  • Non-invasive measurement of blood pressure
  • Pulse measurements on the wrist
  • Development and verification of the algorithms
  • Blood pressure with a finger cuff
  • Multi-sensor system for detection of helplessness (monitoring of people at risk)

 

For the actual sensor development, Art of Technology also offers the evaluation electronics for the sensors (EEG logger, DMS, temperature) and evaluation algorithms for the measurement data which can then be integrated into a complete sensor and measurement system.
